Summary:​

 

Charlie and the Chocolate Facory is about a young boy, Charlie Buckett, who lives in poverty. He lives ina a shack outside of the city where this chocolate factory sits in the center of he the city. Wonka, the owner of the factory, sends out a public service announcement stating he will open up the factory to 5 lucky winners of a golden ticket. The only way to receive a ticket is to buy chocolate bars. Charlie stumbles upon money outside of a candy store. His hopes were low considering he as bought a few candy bars before this. His luck changes and come to find out he has an opportunity to visit Wonka and the factory. He attends the factory with his grandfather and makes his journey throughout the factory. At each section of the factory, one child disobeys Wonka's rules and end up having to leave the factory early except Charlie. Charlie followed all of the rules, so he was the winner of the "prize" for attending the factory. Wonka proceeds to give his factory away to Charlie. Charlie moves from the shack outside of the city and brings his family with him to live in the factory. All in all, Charlie is humble throughout the entire plotline, which shows during the story. His humble acts are the reason why he is the winner of the factory.
